How High (2001)
Expert marijuana grower and chemical and plant mastermind, Silas and his friend Jamal smoke some magical marijuana that had the ashes of his genius best friend, Ivory, in it. The ghost of Ivory appeared to help Silas and Jamal get perfect scores on their SATs. The two got a full scholarship to Harvard and had one of the dean's watching their every move to try to get them kicked out. What happens when the Ivory plant gets stolen and Silas and Jamal need to get straight A's to keep their scholarships on their own?
How High was a great movie. If you haven't seen it because maybe you don't think it will be your kind of movie, don't worry about. Just sit down and watch it. Method Man and Redman are great actors with an even better sense of humor. The fact that these two raised havoc on the Harvard campus was great, but when they made a special batch of brownies to "bring the black out of the dean," that was just priceless. The punchlines are heavy, be prepared to have a good time watching it.

Tommy Boy (1995)
Tommy Boy is a coming of age tale about a Tommy Callahan Jr., the son of a major automotive parts dealer and owner of Callahan Auto. Tommy barely graduated college, after six years and loved the party life. He wasn't too bright, and didn't possess too much common sense. His father was getting remarried, but had a heart attack at his wedding celebration. It was in Tommy's hands now to save the company from failing. He teamed up with his Dad's right hand man and set off on the road to sell 1 million brake pads- the only way Callahan Auto would survive. If he didn't succeed, the con artist that married his father would sell her portion of the company to their biggest competitor.
Tommy Boy is extremely funny. Chris Farley was an amazing actor/comedian, and this was one of his best works. The storyline is complete and David Spade's negative attitude throughout the movie meshed well with Chris Farley's dim-witted humor. Fat Guy in a little coat is still one of my favorite video clips to watch to this day. My favorite quote from this movie actually came from David Spade, "I think I just barfed on an ant hill, they look pissed." This wacky movie will have you laughing out loud and possibly even rolling on the floor-literally.

Waiting (2005)
A County College student, Dean, works at Shenaniganz, a TGI Fridays type restaurant, with an interesting team of employees and a lack of care for the customers. Dean was offered the position of Assistant Manager by the Manager, whom nobody respects, at all. Dean has a choice to make, take the job of Assistant Manager and watch his life waste away in a dead end job, or to grow up and find his way. Throughout the movie, there is a trainee that gets no attention, Monty, Dean's best friend and roommate who never sees the serious side in anything, and of course THE GAME.
Waiting is a great movie if you have any experience as a waiter. Personally, I do. When you are a waiter you have to be a friendly person and many times people don't treat you well. You still need to stay calm and be professional. This movie is the exact opposite of everything I just said. Between The Game, where you need to get a fellow employee to look at your testicles, in reward of your actions, you get to kick them in the ass, and all the dirty humor, food being messed with, the laughs are frequent. Watch out, it's the BRAAAAAAAIIIIN.

You Know When You Touch a Boob, and it Feels Like a Bag of Sand?!?!
The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005)
Although he has many hobbies and leads an active life, there is one thing that Andy has never done, have sex! At 40 years old, this was hard for him to deal with, so the guys he worked with decided to take him under their wings and teach him the ways. This didn’t work out too well for Andy, until he met a single mother. He fell for her instantly which only led to more difficulty because he has never done the deed!
Awkward and laugh out loud humor would be the best way to describe this movie. Steve Carrell was the perfect actor for the part of the 40 year old virgin. The cast overall had great chemistry and them making fun of each other, just messing around really make the movie. Andy is 40 years old, and still a virgin, some of the dialogue in the movie made me laugh so hard my ribs hurt! It is just a great movie overall.

Beerfest (2006)
Urged to go to Germany by their grandmother after their grandfather’s death, Jan and Todd Wolfhause didn’t know what to expect. They were told to carry on a family tradition. When they arrived, they realized that they were right smack in the middle of Oktoberfest. Their mission was to get in touch with a contact of their grandmother and set their grandfather’s ashes on the mantle next to their other family members that have departed. This contact brought the two brothers to Beerfest, an underground beer drinking competition in which they were ridiculed, realizing that USA didn’t have a team. After the embarrassment at Beerfest, the two brothers vowed to start a USA Beerfest team and to win.
Beerfest was a great movie. First, it’s whole story line is about playing drinking games and building up tolerance to drink with the best beer drinkers in the world; it can’t get any better than that. The laughs are pretty much non-stop. The storyline worked out well and this movie started a new trend, drinking out of a giant glass boot. The humor is outrageous at times, but subtle at other points. Overall, very enjoyable, oh yea, and there is a Willie Nelson cameo at the end!

Life is Good When You are Dazed and Confused!
Dazed and Confused (1993)
The last day of school for a small town in Texas in 1976 is the setting for Dazed and Confused. Not only were the lifestyles different back then, but so was the schooling. Freshman get paddled brutally as a welcome to high school by tradition, and everyone is trying to get stoned, drunk, or laid.
To go along with a pretty stacked cast, this movie has a great deal of laughs from a great many different angles. Whether it’s the look on the face of a kid that is getting paddled, or the payback of a lifetime to a bully, Dazed and Confused is a great movie to watch if you have some time to kill and don’t particularly care about there being a significant purpose to the movie. I always like high school movies because that was a great time in my life and it helps me reminisce. Personally, I have gotten busted trying to have a party at my house when my parents planned to go on a vacation, so I can relate to this movie personally. I’m sure a good amount of you all can relate to that as well!

Meet the Parents (2000)
A male nurse, Greg Focker, wants to meet his fiancé’s parents before he proposes to her. He soon finds out that her strict father wants him to ask his permission first. Greg tries too hard to please his fiancé’s father and a comical series of events take place during the worst weekend of Greg’s life.
This is the nightmare of any boyfriend that has to meet his girlfriend’s parents! From the Focker jokes, to a cat that was trained to use the bathroom, this movie is action packed with laughs. Ben Stiller does a great job playing the softy that you feel bad for and Robert DeNiro plays a great bully. DeNiro’s wife in the movie does a good job playing the sweetheart mom.
Awards: Nominated for 1 Oscar, 7 other Wins, 14 other nominations

Forrest Gump (1994)
Forrest Gump is a young boy who was extremely slow, but was raised to be a good person. Throughout his childhood he struggled with his learning disabilities but took on a best friend by the name of Jenny. Forrest Gump’s mother taught Forrest the ways of the world until it was time for Forrest to choose his destiny. Forrest then joined the army and was sent to Vietnam where he met two friends, Lt. Dan and Bubba. After being released from the army due to a wound in the line of fire, and winning many medals, Forrest Gump was around for many significant events in history and accomplished a great many things in his life.
This movie is supposed to be a drama, but I thought it was absolutely hilarious. From start to finish Forrest Gump kept me captivated by the great story line, while also surprising me with humor. Tom Hanks was the perfect actor for this role and did a great job. One of the funniest parts of the movie takes place at the White House. Forrest gets to meet the president and drank thirteen Dr. Peppers. When it was his turn to meet the president, he asked to use the bathroom first! After using the bathroom, he wound up mooning the president to show him where he had gotten “shot in the but-tox” because he didn’t know better that the president was being sarcastic! That is just too funny to me. I seriously laughed for like 15 minutes. It’s a bit long, but it is definitely worthwhile to see.
Awards: 6 Oscars, 32 other wins, 38 other nominations.

I'm Slappin the Bass Mon
I Love You Man (2009)
Peter Klaven is a man that has always had many girlfriends and girl-friends. It isn’t until he overhears his finance and her friends talking about their worry for his mental health in the future not having any guy friends that Peter decides to find some male friends. Peter went on a series of man-dates to try to find a new best friend and hit many bumps along the way to finding his new best friend, Sydney Fife. The two hit it off instantly and Sydney tries to guide Peter along the way of opening up. After spending a lot of time away from his finance and with Sydney Peter finds himself unsure of why he wants to get married.
This movie is the epitome of awkward comedy. If there is an awkward situation in this movie, guaranteed you will be laughing hysterically. Whether it’s Peter Klaven projectile-y vomiting on one of his fiancé’s friends husband after chugging a beer or Sydney telling Peter’s fiancé to “return the favor” in front of his whole family, this movie is chock full of good laughs. Some say it’s too much of a chick flick, but I really don’t see that at all in this movie. If anything, this is a movie that a bunch of guys can watch and relate to in many ways!
